Subventions Application Deadlines
March 24, 2000
TO: DISTRICTS RESPONSIBLE FOR MAINTENANCE OF NONPROJECT LEVEES AND PROJECT LEVEES IN
THE SACRAMENTO-SAN JOAQUIN DELTA
Fiscal Year 2000-2001 Applications:
This letter is to remind all eligible Districts that the deadline is May 1, 2000 for submitting the 2000-2001 Delta Levee Maintenance Subventions Program applications.
This deadline is consistent with our previous correspondence to transition the Subventions Program back to the Preliminary Procedures and Criteria timeline. Your assistance in meeting this deadline will help insure timely distribution of funds to help meet the financial need of the Districts. Applications may be faxed in order to meet this deadline, but an original must follow by mail. The applications must include a "Net Habitat Improvement Plan" as discussed in our letter to you dated August 19, 1998. A district’s failure to meet the application deadline may result in delayed approval by The Reclamation Board.
Send two copies of the application to:

FAX: (916) 227-7600

1998-1999 fiscal years' programs. Although we are transitioning to a new accounting system, staff will continue to work diligently with the districts and DFG to get claims approved and paid as soon as possible.
